This is an advanced staff position that sets-up, tests, prepares patients, and operates all relevant equipment necessary to perform diagnostic and monitoring procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, EKGs, Holter Monitoring (recording and scanning), and other related procedures. Acts as backup coverage for the stress and vascular lab within the scope of documented competency. To record and document electromotive variations of the cardiopulmonary system.
Requirements: Three to five years experience E.K.G. or Monitor Technician. Basic and Advanced Arrhythmia recognition courses within one year of employment and annual recertification thereafter.Certification as a Basic Life support provider in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (AHA BLS-C preferred) within one year of employment and annually thereafter.
