What is Trauma? Trauma is any injury caused by a physical force and is often the result of a motor vehicle crash, a fall, gunshots, fires and burns, stabbing or a blunt assault. Sinai Hospital is now seeing over 1800 trauma patients a year. The majority of cases involve motor vehicle crashes, falls, industrial and recreational mishaps.
