Purpose
Recent parking and traffic studies have identified a need for an additional patient and visitor parking spaces. The current Hoffberger parking lot, intended for patients who visit the Hecht, Hoffberger, Schoenman and the Morton Mower, M.D., Medical Office Building on the Sinai campus, is no longer sufficient for the volume of patients and visitors who need to park there each day. As the outpatient and inpatient programs continue to grow, there is a need to provide more parking for patients and visitors. To alleviate this parking deficiency, a parking garage will be constructed on the current Hoffberger parking lot.
Location
The Belvedere Garage will be constructed on the existing Hoffberger parking lot, which is located immediately off of West Belvedere Avenue.
Description/Building Features
- The existing Hoffberger lot currently
accommodates 90 cars. The new Belvedere garage will consist
of six levels and will accommodate a total of 368 cars.
- The Belvedere Garage will also relieve the
parking shortage experienced on the main hospital lot.
- The Belvedere parking garage will provide easy pedestrian access to outpatient clinics within the Hecht, Hoffberger, Schoeneman and Morton Mower, M.D., Medical Office Building..
