Under moderate supervision, evaluates patients, plans and administers patient treatments, based on physician referral, to relieve pain and restore or improve function. Utilizes various physical therapy techniques such as therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, etc.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Age groups served may include neonate through geriatric, but will vary depending on specific assignment.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. EXPERIENCE:Completion of clinical affiliation. OTHER:Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Must have completed CPR Healthcare Provider or CPR for the Professional Rescuer course.
