Completion of clinical affiliations. Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Maryland Board of Physical therapy Examiners. Must have current CPR Healthcare Provider or CPR for the Physical Rescuer Certification. Under moderate supervision, evaluates patients, plans and administers patient treatments, based on physical referral, to relieve pain and restore or improve function. Utilizes various physical therapy techniques such as therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, etc. Supervises and coordinates student activities of the clinical education program; provides technical guidance and counsel, monitors and evaluates student performance; instructs house staff and other hospital personnel in physical therapy techniques, modes of treatment, etc. Performs administrative duties as required.
