The occupational therapist is licensed by the state of Maryland and provides occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to both in and out patients. As a therapist, the occupational therapist must use a great deal of judgement and skill in providing the proper treatment and in determining appropriate and realistic treatment goals. In all situations, the therapist must adopt treatment and goals to the abilities, tolerances and age of the patient. The occupational therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and lead occupational therapist.
