Arlene Weber, R.N., M.S., has joined the staff of Northwest Hospital Center as the director of Acute Care Services. As a previous employee of LifeBridge Health, Weber was director of Patient Care Services at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore from 1995-1999.
In her new position, Weber is responsible for building on the excellent patient care provided by the staff and improving customer service. My goals as the new director are to build a patient center of excellence in the Acute Care Services division,� said Weber. I plan to accomplish this by encouraging the nursing staffs in all acute care services to achieve national nursing certifications, as well as promoting ongoing staff education, team empowerment and participation, evidenced-based-practices and
leadership development,� she said.
Weber�s background and experience include other director-level positions in critical and patient care at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Prince George�s County Hospital. While at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Weber was involved in the design and operationalization of their new facility, interdisciplinary performance improvement programs, and leadership development programs in the critical care and cardiac care patient care services.
In Weber�s previous position as director of Patient Care Services at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, she assisted with recruitment and retention programs, and the nursing leadership forum.
Weber earned her master�s in Nursing Administration from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland, and a bachelor of science degree in Nursing from Penn State University in New Kensington, Pennsylvania.
