Christina Li, M.D., specializes in minimally invasive and obesity surgery. Dr. Li received her medical degree from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. She finished her resident training in general surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where she also spent a year as a research fellow at the Maryland Center for Videoscopic Surgery. Most recently, Dr. Li completed a one-year fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Li’s clinical research interests include endoscopic management of strictures after gastric bypass and laparoscopic colon resection for polyps. Her current clinical pursuits include bariatric surgery, performing both laparoscopic gastric bypass and laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, and minimally invasive surgery cases such as hernia repairs, colon resections and many others.
Dr. Li is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and she is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.
