CASE (COMBINED ANTISTREPTOCOCCAL EXOENZYMES)

Antibodies to streptococcal A exoenzymes increase
1-3 weeks after onset of infection, and decrease
8-10 weeks after uncomplicated infection.  The value
of a single determination is limited.  The streptozyme
test (streptozyme is a trade name) detects the following
antibodies to streptococcal antigens (exoenzymes):
 antistreptolysin O (ASO, antihyaluronidase (AH),
antistreptokinase, anti-DNA=ase-B, anti_NAD-ase.
