Lina Sanchez is a member of Northwest’s SWOT team. But she’s not armed with weapons and body armor, just compassion and a heart for her patients. SWOT stands for Staff Without Official Territory and allows multi-certified nursing staff to move to areas where they are needed most.

“You have to have a broad knowledge base and be very flexible,” says Lina’s supervisor, Nursing Manager Lauren Decker. “Lina is very thorough, dependable and all her patients love her.”
And Lina loves her work.

“I love to go everywhere and meet people that I would not otherwise have a chance to get to know,” she says.

Lina must get to know her patients very quickly since they’re like to be gone by the time she returns to the same unit again.

Northwest has been Lina’s employer of choice since 1984.
