Each year, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore receives thousands of
applications for its ACGME-accredited residency training programs. More than 140
residents participate in competitive post-graduate training programs, and nearly 400 medical students receive clinical training at Sinai Hospital on an annual basis. Sinai Hospital offers a full-service hospital with more than 471 licensed beds and 35 bassinets and outstanding ancillary support services.

Sinai offers ACGME-accredited residency programs in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation, and Pediatrics, as well as the Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital Program in Internal
Medicine. Additionally, residents and fellows from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine rotate within
the departments of Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology and Surgery. Residents from the University of Maryland
School of Medicine rotate within Urology.
With more than 160 full-time faculty members and 800 ER-7 voluntary attending physicians, Sinai has some

Sinai is also the home of ER-7, a 34,500-square foot, 53-bed emergency
pavilion that houses seven specialized care centers: Fast Track, Urgent, Emergent, Trauma, Pediatrics, Chest
Pain and Observation. The department is staffed by 40 full- and part-time board certified/eligible physicians.
Considered one of the most modern emergency facilities in the country, all seven care centers are designed to
meet the specific needs of each patient. ER-7 has developed a unique, nationally acclaimed model for the
delivery of superb clinical care in an environment that recognizes the emotional issues that accompany emergency
care. In addition to the latest in technological advances, ER-7 features private waiting rooms, a communications
system for families and providers, and concierge service. Sinai expects to see over 76,000 patients come through
ER-7 in 2006.
For our residents, Sinai offers a discount membership to LifeBridge Health and Fitness, a 66,000-square-foot health and wellness facility, free
parking, on-site day-care, House Staff Association, and a private physician's lounge and dining room. Residents
also enjoy access to Sinai's full-service Eisenberg Medical Staff Library.
