The Department of Pathology provides a full range of anatomic and clinical pathology tests and consultation services in support of the wide variety of medical services provided to inpatients and outpatients.
The Department of Pathology performs more than two million individual patient
test results each year, for the patients of Sinai Hospital and other hospitals,
referring physicians and laboratories. More than 400 different procedures are
done in-house, with less than 3% sent to reference laboratories.
