Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the Neonatal Transport Program is
available to stabilize and then transport sick neonates from the referring
facility to Sinai's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The team includes a
neonatal nurse practitioner, respiratory therapist, paramedic and emergency
medical technician. The Transport Program provides immediate feed back to the
referring hospital by the attending neonatologist at Sinai. When no longer
critical, patients can be transferred back to the referring hospital.
