A former collegiate baseball catcher and Pikesville High School wrestler, Jon Koman, M.D., serves as a member of the LifeBridge Sports Medicine team. Dr. Koman serves as team physician to local Baltimore County Public high schools and as a participant in the sports medicine outreach program at the Orthopedic Specialty Center.
Dr. Koman earned his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University and his medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences at The Chicago Medical School. He has completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency at Grace Hospital with Wayne State University and an Orthopedic Sports Medicine fellowship at The University of Virginia. Dr. Koman is published in The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and the textbook, Orthopedic Sports Medicine, 2nd Edition. He has presented at various Orthopedic Society Conferences and Sports Medicine Educational Seminars at hospitals.
Dr. Koman is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American College of Sports Medicine and the McCue Orthopedic Sports Medicine Society.
