Samuel Matz, M.D. specializes in sports medicine. His expertise is in the field of arthroscopic surgery and surgery to the knee and shoulder. Dr. Samuel Matz, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Maryland in 1981. His one-year internship in general surgery and three-year residency in orthopedic surgery were both at the University of Maryland Hospital. In addition, he performed a knee and sports medicine fellowship at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine.
He has published extensively in the field of sports medicine including articles on football, women's lacrosse and strength training.
