Practice Dynamics, Inc, PDI, was established in 1996 as the Management Services
Organization (MSO) for LifeBridge Health. PDI provides comprehensive professional
billing services for over 180 physicians and medical providers rendering service
at Sinai Hospital and Northwest Hospital. Although currently PDI provides services
solely to LifeBridge entities, PDI has a strategic objective to provide services
to other organizations.

Facilities, Staffing and Organizational Structure
Our main office is located in Reisterstown, Maryland, on the northwest side of
Baltimore. PDI has over 16,000 square feet of space specifically designed to support
the most effective and efficient billing services and allowing for future growth.
PDI has over 60 employees who are highly specialized in billing, coding and
compliance. Staff is organized into billing and reimbursement and compliance
teams with directors responsible for each team. Teams are comprised of Professional
Billing, Reimbursement and Compliance Directors and Managers, Claims Processors,
Payment Posters, Senior Recovery Specialists, Recovery Specialists, Quality
Analysts, Training Specialist, Reimbursement Analysts and Coders. Teams are
designed to support specialties and to provide single point of contacts to the
practices.
Billing Hardware and Software
PDI utilizes the IDX Xtend for billing which is a very high end billing system
that easily handles the almost 200 current providers and will support future
growth. This product operates on an Alpha platform. IDX modules being used include
Scheduling 8.4, Billing and Accounts Receivable (BAR) 8.4, Paperless Collection
System (PCS) 8.4 and Anesthesia Module. PDI also uses Ingenix�s Claims
Manager editing software to monitor claims data for compliance with federal
and state billing regulations and to prevent submission of non-compliant�
claims to the payors.
Coding and Compliance
PDI provides coding and compliance services to our practices. Services provided
include E & M training, ICD-9 training, Compliance Audits of provider documentation
and billing and Quality Audits of professional billing staff performance.
Training Program
PDI�s Training Specialist trains PDI staff to ensure highest level of performance
in all billing applications and modules. This specialist is the training liaison
between PDI and the practices. Additional training is provided in stress management,
customer service and all MS Office applications.

Encounter Form Updates: Provide a tool with current data to support correct
coding assignment.
Billing Edit and Claim Form Logic Updates: Develop editing systems to avoid
billing errors.
Staff Organized by Specialty and Payor: Develop team focused on improving the
revenue cycle and provider central point of contact to the practices.
Work Load Measurement: Monitor productivity.
Billing Audits: Identify and resolve the reasons you are not being paid and
ensure you are paid accurately.
Provider Compliance Auditing and Training: Assess if your providers are coding
compliantly and achieving the highest level of reimbursement. PDI Compliance
staff audit and train providers on the complex reimbursement issues that are
facing provider practices today.
