Located close to home and open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year ER-7, Northwest's Emergency Department provides expert medical care and state-of-the-art technology for the treatment for everything from the most major emergent illnesses and injuries to more minor health-related problems.  ER-7 provides the highest quality care as quickly as possible in a private, comfortable setting.   All 38 treatment areas are private with the latest medical equipment close at hand and lighting, temperature and noise control levels tailored to the needs of individual patients. Treatment rooms are equipped with a television and space for a friend or family member to remain throughout treatment.

What to Expect
Specially trained ER-7 triage staff members evaluate you.  Then, you are assigned a bed within one of the seven care centers.  ER-7 registrars complete paperwork or necessary forms at your bedside.   While everyone receives timely care in the ER-7, certain serious or life-threatening illnesses or injuries require more immediate attention.   If you feel your medical condition has changed since you have been waiting for treatment, please inform the triage nurse as quickly as possible.

ER-7 Specialty Care Centers

Rapid Care
For patients with sore throats, ear infections, sprains, cuts, twisted ankles and other injuries that are not life or limb threatening.

Urgent Care

Observation Care
For patients whose care, testing and treatment occur in stages or whose symptoms or response to treatment may change over several hours.

Cardiac Care
For patients who may be having acute cardiac problems.

Pediatric Care
For children under the age of 16.  Medical equipment and supplies tailored to children are located within the care center.

Psychiatric Care
For patients experiencing symptoms of acute mental illness, or for those seeking assistance with coping and caring for loved ones with mental health issues.

If You Are Admitted
A Northwest doctor may decide that an illness or injury is serious enough to require admission to the hospital.  A transfer is then made from Northwest ER-7 to an inpatient bed.
