Patient Financial Advisor / Sinai
Facility: A member of LifeBridge Health, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore features state-of-the-art facilities, national acclaim, and renowned Centers of Excellence. Sinai is the largest community hospital and third largest teaching hospital in MD.
Department: Admitting
Schedule: Full-time
Shift: Day shift
Hours: 08:00am-04:30pm
Job Details: - Associates degree is preferred
- 3-5 years experience is required
Under moderate supervision, process incoming patient pre-registrations for hospitalization or outpatient procedures, acts as a resource to patients and their family members or significant others, explains hospital regulations, insurance requirements and the course of events to follow. Obtains patient's financial information; determines patient's financial class and processes accordingly.

Requirements: Two to four years experience in a patient financial health care customer service setting; AA degree in health care or business or equivalent experience; and knowledge of medical terminology. Must possess IPR skills; accurately type 50 wpm and/or have computer experience; knowledge of third party insurance required including uniform billing (1982) regulations and guidelines.
